The Terranova West water plant, with water purchased from City of Houston' plant (Water Authority), has been supplying water for both Terranova and Terranova West. Recent water quality issues appear to originate at the City's water plant. Last night (7/13/10) the air compressor at our water plant began to operate erratically, charging our system with too much air, which many residents have noticed this morning.
Hays Utility is resolving the air compressor issue, and is also flushing our water lines to hopefully rid them of the water quality problem. We continue to flush the lines, sometimes on demand in spot areas. If you experience a water quality problem, whether color, air, odor, or taste, please contact Hays Utility and give them your address and phone number so they can follow up. Eventually, we will rid the system of the undesirable water, with your help and understanding.
Place the container in the street gutter with the wheels against the curb for added stability. If a curb is not present, place the cart within three (3) feet of the edge of the roadway. Carts should be at least (4) feet away from any mailbox, obstacle, vehicle or additional issued RWS 95-gallon cart.
Always place the container at the curb or roadway with wheels and handle toward your home. Please do not park at the curb on collection day. A parked vehicle preventing service of the container will result in a missed service and will be made up on your next regularly scheduled service day.
When do I place my container at curbside for service?
The trash container must be set out for service no later than 7:00am on your regularly scheduled service day (Monday & Thursday). After service, simply roll your container back to what ever location you choose to store it.
